Trevor Bolliger's Story
Starting in October 2010, I will hike approximately 1330 kilometers across the entire height of New Zealand. I'll be sure to need a new pair of shoes by the end of my journey. But I'm a privileged American who can afford a new pair of shoes. What about the millions of people across the planet who don't even own one decent pair of shoes? People who go barefoot their entire lives?
This is why I decided to implement the $1 per 1k drive. I'm trekking 1330 kilometers, and I want to raise $1330.
$1330 is just the beginning. There is nothing stopping us to meet that goal several times over.
