As many of you know I am very involved with an incredible organization called Soles4Souls. Since its beginning in 2004, S4S has collected and distributed over 17 million pairs of shoes to the needy around the world. Think about that...imagine not having shoes or, worse yet, your children not having shoes. As a parent the thought breaks my heart.
In January of 2012 I had the good fortune to go to Haiti and see firsthand the need. The earthquake of 2010 left the wonderful people of Haiti devastated and lost...with not even a glimmer of hope.
I also saw Soles4Souls changing that. I witnessed the smile on 4 year old Rosie's face when I placed her first pair of shoes on her little feet. I met Dr. Paul, a native Haitian who has dedicated his life to building a community center for the children so they have a place to learn and to play and I walked through the tent cities where over 5,000 live in conditions you and I have never imagined. But most importantly, I vowed to come back and help make a difference.
My birthday is May 5 and I am requesting that you give me the gift of a donation on this page. 100% of it goes to Haiti and I will see to that personally. Your money will buy shoes that I will deliver in May. Your generosity helps put a roof on that community center that Dr. Paul walked me through. Your contribution allows you the warm feeling of knowing you are providing HOPE.
