As a professional organizer I teach my clients how to get organized and often help them deal with excess stuff. I find that we tend to keep extra stuff just because we have the space for it. Some lack the space but try to keep all of it anyways!
Being in a country that is blessed with excess I realize there are people that can benefit greatly from things we take for granted. How many pairs of shoes are sitting barely used in your closet?
It is my dream to go on this trip to Haiti to see the work that I do come in full circle and be able to share this experience with others.
How fulfilling and humbling it would be to slip a pair of shoes that we consider excess on a child's foot that has never owned a single pair.
